Effect of PE on the migration of DU145 cells. U145 cells (3 × 105 cells/well) were seeded onto a 6-well plate. On 80% confluence, wound scratches were made with sterile P200 pipette tips. The plates were washed twice with PBS to remove detached cells. The cells were treated with PE at concentrations of A. 0, B. 0.25, C. 0.5 and D. 1 mg ml−1, respectively (a). After incubated for 24 h, the migrated distances were evaluated. Data were expressed in mean ± SD from triplicate experiments (b). *P < .05 compared with blank.
