<i>Carthamus tinctorius</i> Enhances the Antitumor Activity of Dendritic Cell Vaccines via Polarization toward Th1 Cytokines and Increase of Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes

<table>CT extract stimulates cytokine secretion of mouse splenic T lymphocytes. Splenocytes were homogenized from the spleen of healthy BALB/c mice. Mouse splenic T lymphocytes were treated with various concentrations of CT extract for 24 h, and then the medium was assessed for secretion of IL-2, IFN-<i>γ</i>, IL-4 and IL-10, as determined by ELISA. The assay was performed in triplicate, and the data are expressed as mean ± SE.</table>
