Antimetastatic Potentials of Dioscorea nipponica on Melanoma In Vitro and In Vivo

Suppression of lung metastasis of melanoma cells by DNE3. Melanoma cells were injected into the tail veins of 6-week-old male C57BL/6 mice. After injection of melanoma cells, DNE3 (0.1 g/kg/day and 0.2 g/kg/day) and vehicle (saline) alone were administered oral gavage for 21 days. Mice were sacrificed and then analyzed for representative photographs of lungs (a), the weight of lung (b), the number of lung metastasis (c), and the body weight of mice (d). Results were statistically evaluated by using one-way ANOVA with post-hock Dunnett's test (*** ).
