THP-1 cells were seeded at 2 × 105 cells ml−1 and
were then treated with 4 mg ml−1 of ABE for the indicated time.
(a) The mitochondrial membrane potential was determined by flow cytometer
using DiOC6 labeling of mitochondria. (b) The redox status was
monitored by the oxidation-sensitive fluorescent dyes for H2O2 (DCFDA)
and O2− (HE). The results shown are from one representative experiment
of three experiments that showed exhibited similar patterns.
