Quantitative analysis by HPLC of adenosine in ripe tomato fruits and their processing by-products. (a) Adenosine content expressed in mg adenosine/mg dried extract and (b) correlation coefficient and related significance between adenosine content and platelet inhibition ( , ). Total and aqueous extracts are obtained from tomato pulp. All the analyses were repeated at least twice starting from independent dried extracts.
