Effect of sesamin on basal and induced PXR, RXRα, and HNF4α protein expression. HepG2 cells were seeded in tissue-culture wells prior to being exposed to various concentrations of sesamin alone or in combination with 20 μM rifampin for 48 h. Whole cell lysates were collected, and protein expression of (a) PXR, (b) RXRα, and (c) HNF4α were detected using western blotting.
