Figure 7: VVG stained section on the 10th day wound (40X). The collagen fibres (arrows) found in the scar tissue deep to the epithelium in group I appeared thin and scanty. Treatment with tocopherol cream increased the abundance of collagen fibres found in the scar tissue.
