Effect of the AAM on the hypertonic stress-induced increase in AQP mRNA expression. The cells were pretreated with the AAM (1–10 μg/mL) for 30 min and then cultured in medium supplemented with 175 mM NaCl for 1 h. After treatment, total mRNA was extracted from the cells, and AQP1, AQP2, and AQP3 mRNA levels were determined by RT-PCR.
