As described in Section 2, whole blood was harvested 24 hrs after the last OVA challenge; (d) total inflammatory cell numbers in blood were counted, and a minimum of 200 cells were classified as eosinophils or lymphocytes; (e) photomicrograph (original magnification, ×200) of BALF cytospins from a sensitized mouse exposed repeatedly to allergen (Diff-Quik Stain). Results are expressed as mean ± SE (). Statistical significance between control and treatment groups was assessed by ANOVA (*, **, ***).
