Effect of hochuekkito on IL-6 production from THP-1 or RAW264.7 macrophage cells in vitro. THP-1 (a) or LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 (b) cells were cultured in the absence of hochuekkito (0 μg/mL) or presence of hochuekkito at different concentrations (10, 50, 100, and 500 μg/mL). The culture supernatant was collected at 24, 48, and 72 hours, and the concentration of IL-6 secreted into the supernatant was quantitated by using multiplex suspension array for THP-1 (a) or ELISA for RAW264.7 (b), respectively. Multiplex suspension array was performed in single, and ELISA was performed in duplicate. Quantitative data are presented as means ± SD.
