Effect of insulin and two plant extracts on G6Pase activity. Results shown represent the change in G6Pase activity observed after overnight treatment of H4IIE cells with Picea glauca or Abies balsamea plant extracts in the presence or absence of insulin (100 nM). They are expressed relative to DMSO (0.1%) vehicle controls (0% inhibition). Assays were carried out in triplicate on three different cell cultures. significantly different from DMSO vehicle control.
