The soluble and insoluble protein fractions were collected from the brainstem (a) or spinal cord (b) of saline- ( ) or BV-treated mice ( ). Equal amounts of total protein were subjected to a denaturing PAGE as previously described under Section 2, followed by Western blotting analysis with an anti-α-synuclein antibody. The blot shown is representative of three independent experiments. 1: high salt buffer, 2: RIPA buffer, 3: 0.5% SDS buffer, BV−: saline-treated mice, BV+: BV-treated mice.
