AS-M induced apoptosis through the activation of multiple pathways. DBTRG-05MG cells were treated with AS-M (50 μg/mL) for 48 hours. Apoptosis markers were detected and analyzed by ICC using specific antibodies against (a) p16 and p53 for detection of the cell cycle pathway and (b)-(c) Bax, Bcl-2, cytochrome c, AIF, caspase-9, and caspase-3 for detection of the mitochondria-related apoptosis pathway.
