HPLC-ELDS-LT chromatogram of the chlorophyll-depleted dichloromethane extract of Melampyrum pratense. Analyses were performed on an Acclaim 120 C18 reversed-phase column (150 mm × 2.1 mm i.d., 3 μm) equipped with an Acclaim 120 C18 guard column (10 mm × 2.1 mm i.d., 5 μm) from Dionex (Germering, Germany) with the following mobile phase gradient of acetonitrile-water (A: H2O + formic acid (pH = 2.5), B: MeCN): 2% B (5 min), in 5 min to 15% B, in 3 min to 21% B, in 27 min to 35% B, and in 10 min to 95% B at a flow rate of 0.4 mL/min and a temperature set to 35°C. The following compounds were identified: (4) mussaenoside, (5) melampyroside, and (9) lunularin.
