Baicalein, Ethyl Acetate, and Chloroform Extracts of Scutellaria baicalensis Inhibit the Neuraminidase Activity of Pandemic 2009 H1N1 and Seasonal Influenza A Viruses

In vitro NA enzymatic activity of pandemic 2009 H1N1 and seasonal 2007 H1N1 influenza A viruses. Fluorometric substrate MUNANA (300 μM) was incubated with serial 10-fold dilution of viruses (106 PFU/mL) and then incubated for 1 h at 37°C. Relative NA enzymatic activity was determined as the fluorescent intensity at a 360 nm excitation and a 460 nm emission wavelength.
