Subtoxic Levels of Apigenin Inhibit Expression and Secretion of VEGF by Uveal Melanoma Cells via Suppression of ERK1/2 and PI3K/Akt Pathways

Dose effect of apigenin on cell viability of uveal melanoma cells. Human uveal melanoma cells SP6.5 (a) and C918 (b) were seeded into 96-well plates and treated with apigenin at various doses for 48 h, and cell viability was determined by MTT assay (see Methods). Apigenin at 1–5 μM did not affect, whereas 10 μM apigenin significantly decreased the cell viability of uveal melanoma cells.
