Nymphaeol-A Isolated from Okinawan Propolis Suppresses Angiogenesis and Induces Caspase-Dependent Apoptosis via Inactivation of Survival Signals

Nymphaeol-A activates caspases in tube-forming HUVECs. HUVECs were treated with 0.4% DMSO (0 μg/mL) or nymphaeol-A at the indicated concentrations for 6 h and 12 h, respectively. Changes in the levels of caspase-9, caspase-3, and PARP were analyzed by western blotting. Each experiment was repeated at least three times and representative data are shown.
