Therapeutic Effect of the Tuber of Alisma orientale on Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Acute Lung Injury

Figure 3

Effects of EEAO posttreatment on lung histology in ALI mice. C57BL/6 mice received an i.p. injection of PBS ((a) and (c)) or LPS ((b), (d), (e), and (f)). At 2 h after the injection, mice received an i.t. spraying of various amounts of EEAO, 300 mg/kg (c), 3 mg/kg (d), 30 mg/kg (e), and 300 mg/kg (f), or PBS ((a) and (b)) ( per group). At 24 h after LPS treatment, the lungs of mice were perfused, and lung sections of differentially treated mice were stained with hematoxilin and eosin (H&E) for histological examination (magnification 100x). Shown are representatives of at least five different areas of a lung.
