A proposed model for the rat medicated serum containing YGW on oocyte maturation and subsequent fertilization competence. The rat medicated serum induces both the cAMP/PKA/MAPK and PKC/MAPK signal pathways but inhibits the NO/cGMP/PKG signal pathway to enhance oocyte nuclear maturation.
