Experimental details were described in Table 1. Fasting insulin (FINS). Insulin sensitivity index (ISI) was calculated according to the formula ISI = Ln (1/FBG × FINS). Values are expressed by means ± SE, with 𝑛=10. **𝑃<0.01 versus rats in normal group; ^#𝑃<0.05 and ^##𝑃<0.01 versus DM rats. Statistically significant differences were determined using a one-way ANOVA followed by Dunnett’s post hoc analysis.
