The effect of the Adenanthera pavonina sulfated polysaccharide (SPLSAp) on poliovirus type 1 (PV-1) particle (virucidal activity) and in virus adsorption on HEp-2 cells by plaque reduction assay. The percentage of viral inhibition (%VI) is expressed as the mean ± SD of triplicate independent experiments.
