Antiviral Activity of Sulfated Polysaccharide of Adenanthera pavonina against Poliovirus in HEp-2 Cells

The effect of the Adenanthera pavonina sulfated polysaccharide (SPLSAp) in the synthesis of PV-1 protein by immunofluorescence assay. The SPLSAp was used at the time 0 h of the infection at the indicated concentrations. Results are expressed by the mean ± SD of the fluorescent cells number and the corresponding % viral inhibition (% VI).
