The effect of the membrane-permeabilizing agent Triton X-100 (TX-100) on the susceptibility of Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 33591) to tectorigenin (TTR) treatment. The viability of bacteria was determined spectrophotometrically (optical density at 600 nm, OD600) after incubation for 36 h with 6.25 μg/mL TTR and 0.01% Triton X-100. The data is represented as an average of three independent experiments. ∗ as compared to TTR alone.
