DSS, except in the control group, was orally administered with the drinking water to mice treated with saline, AC-mix, or mesalazine, as indicated in Materials and Methods. Test compounds [AC-mix (AC, 10 and 20 mg/kg), mesalazine (M, 10 mg/kg), or saline] were orally administered for 15 days after DSS treatment.
