SJW modulates insulin sensitivity in WAT in a depot specific manner. Prior to euthanasia the animals were fasted overnight and administered an IP injection of insulin or saline for 10 minutes. WAT from epididymal (a) and inguinal (b) fat depots were removed and immediately frozen in liquid nitrogen. Tissue extracts were subjected to western blot analysis. There were 6 mice per condition and, of those, 4 mice per condition are shown.
