Synergism Effect of the Essential Oil from<i> Ocimum basilicum</i> var. Maria Bonita and Its Major Components with Fluconazole and Its Influence on Ergosterol Biosynthesis

<div>Transmission electron microscopy of<i> C. neoformans</i> T444 strain treated with 625 <i>μ</i>g/mL of EO, 38 <i>μ</i>g/mL of geraniol, and 395 <i>μ</i>g/mL of linalool for 48 h at 37°C. Untreated cells (control) showed good preservation of cell wall and membrane and the final of budding (a–c). The cells treated with 625 <i>μ</i>g/mL of EO (d), 38 <i>μ</i>g/mL of geraniol, (e) and 395 <i>μ</i>g/mL of linalool (f) showed a disruption of the fungal capsule structure.</div>
