Δ3,2-Hydroxybakuchiol Attenuates Depression in Multiple Rodent Models Possibly by Inhibition of Monoamine Transporters in Brain

Δ3,2-Hydroxybakuchiol (BU, 10 mg/kg) retained extracellular concentration of monoamine neurotransmitters in rat striatum. After intraperitoneal injection of 10 mg/kg Δ3,2-hydroxybakuchiol (n = 3), dialysate fractions were collected at 15 min interval for continuous 120 min. The samples for basal concentration were collected in normal rats for n = 2. The levels of DA, NE, and 5-HT were detected by HPLC. Values are expressed as mean ± SEM. P < 0.05 versus control.
