Comorbidity score 1: myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, peripheral vascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, dementia, chronic pulmonary disease, rheumatologic disease, peptic ulcer disease, mild liver disease, and diabetes. Comorbidity score 2: diabetes with chronic complication, hemiplegia or paraplegia, renal disease, and malignancy (including leukemia and lymphoma). Comorbidity score 6: metastases solid tumor and acquired immune deficiency syndrome.
