Akt3 synergizes with ^V600EB-Raf in melanomas. UACC 903 cells transfected with siRNA targeting Akt3 and ^V600EB-Raf alone and in combination were subcutaneously injected into mice and effect on tumor development measured. Cotargeting these two key kinases inhibited melanoma development more effectively than inhibiting each of these kinases alone [46, 151].
