Inhibitory effect of D-(–)-arabinose on tyrosinase. Data are presented as the mean (). Tyrosinase was incubated with D-(–)-arabinose at various concentrations for 3 h at 25°C and then added to the assay system at the corresponding D-(–)-arabinose concentrations (a) or in the absence of D-(–)-arabinose (b). The final concentrations of L-DOPA and tyrosinase were 2 mM and 6.6 μg/mL, respectively.
