Proanthocyanidin from Grape Seed Extracts Protects Indomethacin-Induced Small Intestinal Mucosal Injury

Study design. Rats were randomly allocated to one of four groups and treated with indomethacin and GSPE. Group 1: null control treated with carboxymethylcellulose solution (CMC) and saline; Group 2: indomethacin control treated with indomethacin at the dose of 200 mg/kg in 0.5% CMC; Group 3: GSPE low-dose group treated with GSPE in saline once daily at the dose of 100 mg/kg; Group 4: GSPE high-dose group treated with GSPE in saline once daily at the dose of 300 mg/kg.
