M1 and M2 mRNA expression in polarized THP-1 cells. THP-1 cells were cultured for 18 hrs with IFN and LPS (generating an M1 phenotype), IL-4 and IL-13 (generating an M2 phenotype), or SSI QBECO (1 : 20 or 1 : 500 dilution). Specific gene expression of M1- (CCL19, CXCL11, CCR7, and TNF-) and M2- (CCL13, CCL18, and FGL1) associated genes was quantified by qPCR. Data are fold change in gene expression, relative to M2 polarized cells.
