Synergistic Effects of Simvastatin and Irinotecan against Colon Cancer Cells with or without Irinotecan Resistance

Dose-effect curve of simvastatin and irinotecan in HT-29 cells and HT-29R cells. Combination analysis was done using the method described by Chou and Talalay as described in Section 2. A representative experiment result (repeated at least three times) is reported. Dose-effect curves showed that the combination of simvastatin (SV) and irinotecan (IR) at 2 : 1 ratio is significantly potent rather than SV or IR alone in HT-29 cells (a) and HT-29R cells (b).
