POF: persistent organ failure; PNec: pancreatic necrosis. Ranson scoring system: (1) age > 55 years; (2) serum glucose > 11.1 mmol/L; (3) aspartate aminotransferase > 250 U/L; (4) lactate dehydrogenase > 350 U/L; (5) white blood count > ; (6) hematocrit decrease > 10%; (7) serum urea increase > 1 mmol/L; (8) PaO2 < 60 mmHg; (9) serum calcium < 2 mmol/L; (10) base deficiency > 4 mmol/L; and (11) fluid loss > 6 L. Each event represents one point. SIRS scoring system: (1) heart rate > 90 bpm; (2) temperature > 38°C or <36°C; (3) white blood count >  or < ; (4) breath rate > 20 bpm; and (5) PCO2 < 32.33 mmHg. Each event represents one point.
