Ischemic Preconditioning of Rat Livers from Non-Heart-Beating Donors Decreases Parenchymal Cell Killing and Increases Graft Survival after Transplantation

Loss of graft survival after aortic clamping. Aortas were clamped for 0 to 120 min. After clamping, livers were flushed with ice-cold UW solution. After 2 h of cold storage, the livers were transplanted into recipient rats, as described in section 2.
