The Infections of Lower Genital Tract

Call for Papers

Compared to our understanding of infectious disease of the female genital tract, relatively little is understood about what constitutes and maintains a healthy ecological system within the microbiological flora of the female genital tract. The shallowness of our background emanates from the inadequacy of sampling technology, failure to quantitate the majority of observations, and the seeming lack of its importance. Correct clinical observations, right diagnosis, and appropriate therapy are the only ways to try to prevent short-term and long-term sequelae of infections of the lower genital tract.

We invite researchers and clinicians to give us a contribute in terms of papers or reviews with the aim to have a better understanding of immunological, molecular, microbiological, and genetical mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of these infections. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • The dynamic interplay of microbial and environmental checks and balances
  • Genetic predisposition and host factors in the genesis of vulvovaginal infections
  • Aerobic and anaerobic virulent bacteria in vagina and different spectra of diseases
  • New insight of viral and bacterial recurrent infections
  • The new world of microbiome
