Tap selection algorithm.

For 𝑙=1,…,𝐿_cp−1,

  Compare ℎ₁²,…,ℎ_𝐿cp²:

    (1) Select the 𝐿_𝑠 significant taps, and perform prediction on each significant tap;

    (2) Set the other 𝐿_cp−𝐿_𝑠 taps as zeros.

For 𝑙=𝐿_cp,…,𝐾−1,

  Set ℎ[𝑚+1;𝑙]=0 directly.

(Note: ℎ_𝑙² is the average power of 𝑙th tap, averaged from the previous estimation samples.)
