Antennas for WiMAX Technology

Call for Papers

In June 2001, Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) is formed by industry group or the so-called WiMAX Forum. WiMAX is a wireless broadband access network with IEEE 802.16 family standards. WiMax Forum has identified three spectrum bands for WiMAX with frequencies 2.3 GHz, 2.5 GHz, and 3.5 GHz. To date there are many contributions from many important researchers all over the world which show that the WiMAX has great benefit as a wireless broadband access technology. One of the major contributions is antenna design for WiMAX. As WiMAX has shown the great worldwide importance and its developments lead towards 4G systems, this call for papers aims to have papers that have shown some qualitative and quantitative results on the antenna design to enhance the performance of WiMAX technology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Development of new antenna to be suited for WiMAX technology
  • Antenna optimization and measurement
  • Transparent antenna design
  • Active and passive antenna design
  • Textile antenna design
  • Narrow-band, wideband, and multiple-band antenna designs
  • Reconfigurable antenna
  • Compact and array antenna design
  • Small antennas design
