MIMO Antenna Design and Channel Modeling 2013
Call for Papers
The multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) wireless technique represents a breakthrough in the use of antenna arrays in wireless systems. It has been widely adopted by wireless standards, such as LTE and WiMax. Unlike traditional-phased arrays or diversity techniques that improve the sensitivity to one signal of interest, MIMO systems employ antenna arrays jointly at transmit and receive sides to spatially multiplex signals over multipath or near-field channels. The design of MIMO antennas and propagation channels will affect the channel correlation significantly, and this will in turn determine the system capacity. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- MIMO antenna theory
- Compact MIMO antenna design
- Multiband/wideband MIMO antenna design
- Compact MIMO antennas for handset
- Reconfigurable MIMO antennas
- MIMO antennas for medical application
- Antenna allocation optimization schemes
- Optimum MIMO antenna selection
- MIMO channel modeling
- Measurement techniques for MIMO
- Effect of antenna mutual coupling on MIMO system performance
