Figure 13: Comparison of mechanical properties of the designed alloy (Ti-12Cr) and those of an alloy with low Young’s modulus (TNTZ). (a) Young’s moduli of Ti-12Cr-ST, Ti-12Cr-CR, TNTZ-ST, and TNTZ-CR. (b) Tensile strength and elongation of Ti-12Cr-ST, Ti-12Cr-CR, TNTZ-ST, and TNTZ-CR. Young’s modulus of Ti-12Cr clearly increases on account of cold rolling, but that of TNTZ shows almost no change. Ti-12Cr exhibits a relatively high tensile strength and acceptable elongation in comparison with TNTZ.
