Tribocorrosion of Passive Materials: A Review on Test Procedures and Standards

The corrosion potential under tribocorrosion conditions is shifted to more cathodic potentials, and the corrosion current density increases by two orders of magnitude. The coefficient of friction decreases with higher anodic potentials as a consequence of the presence of oxide film on the surface [29].
