Effect of BMP4 on troponin T expression with or without Wnt3a and Wnt4. (a–h) The recombinant proteins were added as shown in Figure 3 with final concentrations of 125 ng/mL Wnt3a, 250 ng/mL Wnt4, and 5 ng/mL BMP4, alone or in combination as shown in the figure. Immunostaining and cell counting were carried out as described in Figure 3. Addition of BMP4 entirely abolished troponin T expression in the presence or absence of Wnt3a and/or Wnt4.
