This special issue is intended for dental specialists and general practitioners as well as researches with interest in various aspects of dental restoration and periodontal therapy.
Our principal aim is to promote state-of-the-art knowledge on materials and bioactive factors pertinent to the field of restorative dentistry and periodontology. We welcome review and original research articles focusing on recent advances in basic and applied material science and clinical considerations of functional, esthetic, reparative, and regenerative aspects of materials and bioactive factors.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Properties of experimental and commercial materials and bioactive factors
- Performance of dental materials and bioactive factors in simulated and clinical conditions
- Interaction between materials, bioactive factors, and host tissues
- Periodontal procedures associated with restorative treatments
