Contemporary Endodontic Treatment
Call for Papers
The ultimate goal of the endodontic treatment is to render the root canal system bacteria-free and to prevent the invasion of bacteria and their byproducts from the root canal system into the periradicular tissues. The achievement of this goal is complicated due to the intricate anatomy of teeth and not completely understood complex interactions between the bacteria and host responses. Modern magnification and illumination devices allow a precise and thorough treatment. Technologies are being developed to induce pulpal regeneration, and new instruments for preparation of the root canal space and new irrigation systems that lead to successful therapy.
We invite authors to submit original research and review articles that will help better understanding of the etiology of endodontic disease and stimulate continuing efforts to improve the endodontic treatment outcome. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Decision-making in treatment of teeth with apical periodontitis
- Latest technologies for preparation of the root canal system
- Current techniques for elimination of bacterial biofilm during root canal treatment
- Prevention and management of the procedural accidents during root canal treatment
- Advance in diagnosis and possible management of endodontic failures
- Recent developments in surgical endodontic treatment
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ijd/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
