Recent Advances in Energy-Efficient Sensor Networks
Call for Papers
In the past decade, wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have attracted a great deal of research attention, as these networks have the advantage of easy deployment for wide range of potential applications. Energy efficiency is one of the main goals of WSNs due to that sensor nodes are usually battery powered and the battery of sensor is not always rechargeable–particularly when the network operates in inhospitable or hostile environments.
This special issue on recent advances in energy-efficient WSNs is intended to provide a forum for presenting, exchanging, and discussing the most recent advances in different aspects of the energy efficiency to provide long lifetime for WSNs with emerging technologies. In particular, it will bring together leading researchers, industry professionals, and research students to study the algorithm, design, analysis, implementation, evaluation, and articles of the energy efficiency of the WSNs. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Energy-efficient MAC design
- Energy-efficient routing protocols
- Energy-efficient reconfiguration architectures
- Energy-efficient system software (scheduling, memory management, etc.)
- Energy-efficient management
- Energy-efficient flow and error control
- Energy-efficient security
- Energy-efficient cross-layer design, optimization, and development
- Energy-efficient cooperative communications
- Energy-efficient multihop transmission scheme
- Energy-efficient interconnection between WSNs and the Internet
- WSNs testbeds, experiments, and measurements
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ijdsn/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
