Advance in Safe and Useful Social Network Services with Context-sensitive Data in Cyber-Physical System

Call for Papers

Recently, people enjoy social network services (SNS) with their smart devices including phones and tablets. Those are mostly equipped with sensory devices such as global positioning system (GPS) and camera. However, the information produced from the sensory devices is often sensitive to people’s privacy and raises security concerns. The sensitive information is often uploaded to SNS and could be shared with a number of friends socially or random people for fun. Some information is used for providing users with user-customised or context-aware services by commercial companies.

Under the context, we raise some questions: how could we share our sensitive data with friends without security and privacy concerns? How much information is required or appropriate for balancing between safety and social engagement? Could misleading context information be a big threat to context-aware or user-customised services? For those questions, we invite academics and professionals to contribute original research as well as review current articles on those topics and other related topics. Papers on practical and theoretical topics are both welcomed. Potential topics include, but not are limited to:

  • Security, privacy, context-awareness, and big data issues in social network services
  • Context security and privacy issues in smart services
  • Context to act between physical space and cyber space
  • Context analysis or context onference from data in cyber-physical system
  • Context-aware and location-aware services in cyber-physical system
  • Knowledge-based systems for Internet services (self-growing service) with contexts
  • Computational intelligence
  • Cognitive informatics
  • Cognitive models of the brain
  • Security, privacy, and usefulness issues of connected sensor devices in cyber-physical system
  • Context category/classification in cyber-physical system
