Si levels were significantly lower in type 2 diabetes (T2D) patients with atherothrombotic ischemic stroke (ATIS) compared to T2D patients without ATIS () and in nondiabetics with ATIS compared to healthy subjects (). There is no difference in Si levels between T2D patients without ATIS and nondiabetics with ATIS () (analysis of variance (ANOVA) with post hoc Tamhane test).
