(a) Unadjusted HOMA-IR was found to significantly increase across the quartiles in females while no significant difference was observed in males. (b) After adjusting for age, SBP, DBP, AST, and WHR, the HOMA-IR levels significantly increased across the quartiles in females while no significant difference was observed in males. (c) Unadjusted ISI was found to significantly decrease across the quartiles in females while no significant difference was observed in males. (d) After adjusting for the abovementioned factors, ISI levels significantly decreased across the quartiles in females while no significant difference was observed in males. .
