β-Arrestin deficiencies lead to decreased cholesterol levels. Free and total cholesterol levels of liver tissues of arrb1/2-knockout (KO) mice (a, b) and ARRB1/2-knockdown (KD) HepG2 cells (c, d). Cholesterol levels were standardized by protein concentration and were expressed as mmol cholesterol per gram of protein.
