Effects of Soil Temperature during Fire on Seed Survival in Florida Sand Pine Scrub

Table 8

Number (mean ± S.E.) of Eriogonum floridanum (Polygonaceae) and Garberia heterophylla (Asteraceae) seeds that germinated after being exposed to 60 or 25 for 30 minutes. Germination trials were conducted from December 8–17, 1993, and from December 30, 1995 to January 7, 1996 for Eriogonum and Garberia, respectively. Identical superscripts within the same species indicate no difference in germination between temperature treatments ( -test, ).
